Too many dogs springs to mind here...... It's that quest for the ultimate team that does it, knowing that we have to use the lines we have here as some of them are in part unique to us. Many have part of the line, but due to selective breeding and the keeping of those lines we have managed to build what we hope are the grounds for an exceptional working line.
Our lines are predominantly biased to Harris Dunlap's Zero lines where the majority of our foundation line parentage originated. Tupilak's Barney (Zero's Brew x Tupilak's Krya) was our first stud dog and one of the most prolific working dogs in the UK in his time, we mated him to Tupilak's Hazard (Rookie's Woody x Tupilaks Willow - where some swedish lines were introduced) the little bitch that threw us our first 6-dog team in 1999! As the years progressed we introduced Tupilak's Patch (Zero's Brew x Zero's Glider) into our lines. With the inclusion of this first generation lad we feel that we have added a little zest into our current young stock, although with this natural zest we have found some nervousness has come through in our current youngsters!
We are very careful where our pups spend their new lives and only allow pups to move into established working homes, we are equally careful about the lifting of restrictions from dogs we have bred therefore ensuring that the gene pool of our kennel remains consistent and that our dogs do not end up in the wrong hands. We never sell puppies or allow our dogs to be bred into kennels/lines that advocate moving dogs on that are either too slow or too old. Please bear this in mind if you wish to own one of our dogs or use one of our boys at stud, including any progeny (we will not lift breeding restrictions). Sorry if this upsets anyone but this is part of the ethos of this working kennel and why we personally choose to maintain such a large kennel of dogs.
A working dog is for life not just for the race season, until it is too slow or until it has had a litter of pups!
