Barney was a phenominal dog, that 'once in a lifetime dog', whom we were very proud to LOVE and be owned by. He was a real character and knew just what he wanted in life! He had an insatiable appetite for work and we never got to the bottom of this awesome dog.
Barney was one of the most focused dogs you would ever find on the trail he stopped at nothing, passing other teams without batting an eyelid, not even noticing rabbits and squirrels or deer, on the trail. Barney was an absolute dream dog who has sired some of the best young dogs in this country at the present time. All of his offspring have his traits on the trail and are unphased by anything they meet. Most people can only dream of owning such an awesome dog, and our thanks must go to Pete Carroll for letting us have Barney in the first instance and to Steve Radburn for breeding such a phenominal dog.
Barney was a truly versatile dog who was happy to run command lead, lead or just be in the team. Wherever he ran he always gave us his best and he has earned the respect of everyone in this kennel.
He is missed every day when we go out for hugs and cuddles in the kennels, Barney was an expert at tipping you off your feet in the kennel and garden area. As he rubbed against you he pushed so hard that many a time wet and muddy trousers were the order for the day!!
Barney you were part of our lives for such a long time, you are missed every minute of the day. We are lost without you!
